Speaking Engagements

Each and every time Jeannine speaks, she strives to inspire and motivate her audience and to encourage curiosity and empathy for others.  Through her story and the Q&A time, your group is certain to learn and connect. Jeannine welcomes your ideas for community engagement and networking.

Topic 1

Living with HIV/AIDS 

Jeannine shares how she lives life by choosing and focusing on hope and gratitude.

She can provide some basic education about HIV and STI’s and their prevention.

Topic 2

Life in the Peace Corps

Jeannine shares about her time serving in rural Nigeria as a Peace Corps Volunteer and her 30-year reunion trip back to her beloved second home.

For this engagement, Jeannine can come dressed in traditional clothing, bring artifacts to show, and traditional food to share.

Topic 3

Trail of Compassion

Based on her memoir, Jeannine shares how the Peace Corps and living with HIV/AIDS has intertwined and moves her to live vibrantly.


Jeannine’s sharing typically takes 20 minutes, followed by a discussion session that can be 20+ minutes.

Audiences

Jeannine tailors her presentation to fit the group, such as schools and community events. 

Speaker Fees

Jeannine’s fees are determined based upon your group’s requests. Fees cover travel expenses plus $100* per hour for my time and sharing. If a Nigerian food experience is requested, this will be an additional fee.

Official Bio

Jeannine Fosca, author of Trail of Compassion,  works full-time as a social worker in her state's child welfare field and volunteers with the non-profit AIDS Project Snohomish County that focuses on HIV prevention and supporting services for people living with HIV/AIDS. She's an empty nester and is so proud of her two adult sons. For fun, she enjoys CrossFit, walking, hiking, live music, dancing, Scrabble, reading, writing, and traveling, whether planning for it, experiencing it, or reminiscing about it.
